Who am I?
About me
My name is Júlia de Aquino, a 27-year-old Brazilian creative professional with a deep passion for art and games. This interest led me to move to Japan to further my studies in art, where I developed my skills and expanded my cultural perspective.
Education and Experience
I hold a degree in Social Communication from the University of Brasília (UnB), with an emphasis on art direction and design for advertising and communication materials.
In 2018, I was an intern at the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, where I created institutional communication materials for the Department of Public Construction, including the visual identity for the international event 2nd BIM Meeting of Latin American Governments.
I hold a degree in Social Communication from the University of Brasília (UnB), with an emphasis on art direction and design for advertising and communication materials, working with schools—producing content for social media and advertising materials for three institutions, with a focus on Instituto Madre Teresa, a technical school.
Since 2024, I have been running Monstah!, my own clothing brand, where I oversee the entire creative side—from visual identity and illustration to e-commerce management and social media strategy.
In the first half of 2025, I worked as a graphic designer at Editora Integral, developing layouts for educational books and visual materials for elementary school publications, as well as optimizing workflows through organizational spreadsheets.
After this experience, I chose to dedicate myself fully to Monstah! and explore new projects as a freelancer. Now, I am seeking new opportunities to apply my creative versatility to projects that bring together art, communication, and purpose.

Achievements
I was a winner in two editions of Expocom, the communication congress for the Central-West region of Brazil. In 2019, I won 1st place in the regional category of Printed Advertising Piece, where I was responsible for the visual composition and execution of the project. In 2021, I was awarded again, this time in the Comic Strips category, taking 1st place in both the regional and national stages with the research and creation of a webtoon.
International Experience
In 2021, I was selected for the scholarship program of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). I studied Comic Illustration at the Toyo Institute of Art and Design in Tokyo from April 2022 to March 2024, where I deepened my artistic training and developed my ability to adapt culturally.
